The Charities’ Property Association represents charities which own and manage properties as investments.
We focus on charities that hold land to sustain their charitable purposes, which includes environmental protection and conservation. We represent almost 100 charities with significant property portfolios, including charitable housing trusts, Oxford and Cambridge colleges, Anglican cathedrals, and major public schools. Where appropriate, we respond to consultation papers on behalf of members and make representations to government on their behalf.
At our regular meetings we give members the opportunity to exchange news and information and share expertise and experiences.
Our newsletter keeps members informed of key legislative and political developments within Government, Parliament, Whitehall and the European Union. Newsletters cover agricultural and environmental issues, housing, land, planning, development, and charity law.
